About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Email Deliverability & Lifecycle Marketing Manager to take ownership of our email ecosystem and help scale a rapidly growing education and media company.
This is not an entry-level email marketing role.
We are looking for a strategic operator who understands how to maximize ActiveCampaign, improve deliverability, reactivate inactive lists, build sophisticated automations, and drive measurable business growth through email.
The ideal candidate has successfully managed large databases, understands email deliverability at a high level, and knows how to turn email into a predictable revenue-generating channel.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Email Deliverability
- Improve inbox placement and sender reputation
- Monitor domain health and authentication
- Reduce spam complaints and unsubscribe rates
- Identify and resolve deliverability issues

ActiveCampaign Management
- Build and optimize complex automation workflows
- Manage tagging, segmentation, and list organization
- Create and maintain nurture sequences
- Build webinar, challenge, sales, and onboarding campaigns
- Optimize customer journeys from lead to client
List Growth & Reactivation
- Develop strategies to reactivate dormant contacts
- Improve engagement across cold and warm audiences
- Maintain list hygiene and database health
- Work within SmartList.ai and other list-management tools
Analytics & Optimization
- Monitor key email KPIs
- Conduct testing and optimization
- Improve open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and revenue attribution
- Provide recommendations based on performance data

Required Qualifications
NON-NEGOTIABLE
- 3+ years of hands-on ActiveCampaign experience
- Proven experience managing and segmenting large email databases
- Strong understanding of email deliverability and inbox placement
- Experience building advanced automation systems inside ActiveCampaign
- Experience with list reactivation campaigns
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
Preferred
- Experience supporting webinars, launches, challenges, or coaching businesses
- Experience with SmartList.ai or similar list-cleaning platforms
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation strategy
- Experience working in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments
