Some people are just naturally good with people. They walk into a room and someone feels at ease. They pick up the phone and a stranger feels heard. They ask a question and a conversation opens up in a way neither person expected.
If that is you, keep reading.
At Dollman Land Buyers we talk to landowners every day who are making real decisions about something that matters to them. Some are ready. Some are not sure yet. Some just need someone steady on the other end of the line who genuinely cares about getting it right for them.
We are a small, grounded team that has been building something intentional for six years. We do not chase volume. We do not burn bridges. We do not make promises we cannot keep. We move thoughtfully, we treat people well, and we show up the same way every single time.
We are ready to bring the right person into this work and we want them to stay.
What this role actually looks like
You will spend your time talking with landowners who have received a letter from us and want to have a conversation. Your job is to listen well, ask good questions, gather what we need, and move things forward with care and confidence.
We will teach you everything you need to know about land. What we are looking for is someone who already knows how to connect with people, how to hold a conversation through the hard moments, and how to make someone feel respected even when the answer is no.
This is a part time contractor role, approximately 10 to 15 hours per week with flexibility across multiple days. You will be compensated hourly with performance bonuses tied to closed resales. The longer you are here and the better you know this work, the more that bonus structure rewards you. We are thinking long term and we hope you are too.
The person we are looking for
You genuinely enjoy being on the phone. Not because you have to be but because connecting with people is something you are wired for.
You are warm. You are confident. Relationships matter to you and it shows in how you communicate.
You follow through. When you say you are going to do something, you do it.
You appreciate structure and clear expectations. You do not need to be chased and you do not need every answer before you take the next step.
You are looking for a place to plant yourself, not a stepping stone. You understand that the right opportunity compounds over time and you are willing to build toward that.
This is probably not for you if
The phone feels like a burden rather than a tool.
You are looking for full time work or an income that this role cannot support right now.
You prefer to figure things out without much guidance.
You are drawn more to the clerical side of the work than the relational side.
One small thing before you apply
Tell us one thing you find genuinely interesting about land as an asset class.
And in two or three sentences, tell us why you enjoy being on the phone. Not why you are good at it. Why you enjoy it.
We read every application carefully. How you answer these two questions tells us more than a resume ever could.
If this sounds like the kind of work that would leave you feeling good at the end of the day, we would love to hear from you.
Somewhere in your cover letter tell us what you are currently reading or listening to.
