At The Short Book Formula, we help financial advisors share their stories in ways that attract clients, build authority, and leave a lasting legacy. Our approach combines human storytelling with AI-enhanced efficiency — turning simple conversations into powerful, short books (8,000–25,000 words) that open doors and change lives.
We’re growing quickly and seeking seasoned writers who are also confident book coaches — people who can represent our company with expertise, meet directly with clients, and transform their spoken ideas into engaging, high-quality manuscripts.
What You’ll Do
Lead Client Sessions – Host book coaching calls on Zoom, guiding clients to clearly “talk out” the content of their book.
Shape & Structure – Turn transcripts from those sessions into polished, well-organized manuscripts that capture the client’s authentic voice.
Edit with Excellence – Refine for clarity, flow, and tone while honoring the client’s message and vision.
Leverage AI Tools – Use AI strategically to accelerate drafting and editing without losing the human touch.
Deliver with Precision – Meet agreed-upon deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality.
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll excel in this role if you:
Have 5+ years of professional writing and/or ghostwriting experience (long-form preferred).
Possess strong editorial skills and can shape narratives from raw ideas or spoken content.
Are comfortable presenting yourself as an expert and trusted guide in client meetings.
Have experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) in your writing process — and are eager to grow those skills.
Can balance creativity with deadlines and adapt quickly to new processes.

The Details
Role Type: Project-based contract
Compensation: $30–$60/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Schedule: Flexible — set your hours based on availability and client needs
Location: Fully remote
Growth Path: Expand into additional projects, responsibilities, and leadership roles as we scale
