The Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate, timely billing and outstanding customer support for our 1,000+ customer base. You’ll handle everything from raising invoices to reconciling revenue, managing receivables, and maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams.
What You’ll Do
Accounts Receivable Administration (50%)
Create, issue, and record invoices, credit notes, refunds, and other billing activity.
Manage billing for new setups, renewals, contract changes, and cadence updates.
Control credit, collect outstanding debt, escalate issues, and coordinate with collections agencies when needed.
Own the revenue reconciliation process and ensure accurate period recognition.
Ensure compliance with sales tax across states.
Deliver mid-month and month-end AR reporting, ledgers, and KPIs.
Maintain AR and Billing process documentation.
Customer Communication (40%)
Provide excellent customer service via email, Slack, and calls.
Manage billing inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Handle de-escalations and resolve billing disputes professionally.
Communicate renewals, price changes, and updates clearly.
Finance Team Support (10%)
Assist with month-, quarter-, and year-end activities.
Support team projects and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Escalate client or operational issues quickly and appropriately.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Experience: 1+ year in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or similar administrative role.
Tech skills: Familiarity with enterprise billing systems (Chargebee preferred) and financial reporting tools (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred).
Industry exposure: Experience in software or SaaS environments (work or educational).
Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, excellent communicator, and proactive problem solver.
COMPENSATION: Base Compensation Range: $20.00/hr – $30.00/hr.
Fx5 Discretionary Bonus Factor: .15 or currently assigned factor
