Account Manager
Overview
Purpose
You’ll be the bridge between our clients and our production team. Your job is to keep projects moving, keep clients informed, and translate business goals into clear actions. Your understanding of web design and digital marketing concepts will allow you to speak confidently with both clients and our internal team, even though you won’t be doing hands-on design or development work.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients
- Build strong, lasting relationships through regular check-ins and updates
- Manage client expectations and clearly communicate timelines and next steps
- Lead weekly project status updates via email and calls
- Coordinate with designers, developers, and vendors to keep projects on schedule
- Review deliverables to ensure they meet client expectations before delivery
- Track and report on project progress and deliverable timelines
- Onboard new clients
- Input and track client requests using our project management system
- Help clarify project scope and marketing goals with clients
- Guide clients through onboarding and offboarding processes
- Support content collection, messaging strategy, and marketing alignment as needed
What You Bring
- A working knowledge of front-end web design and digital marketing concepts
- You understand terms like layout, responsiveness, user experience, and SEO basics
- You can speak confidently with clients and team members about digital projects
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience in client-facing roles, ideally in a digital marketing or creative agency
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with tools like:
- WordPress (not for editing—just enough to understand how it works)
- Teamwork, Teamwork Desk
- Canva, Slack, and similar platforms
- Ability to translate technical conversations into simple terms for clients
