Overview

Land Acquisitions Manager – Remote
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Compensation: $20/ hour + performance bonuses (1099, part-time, ~20 hours/week)
Employment Type: Independent Contractor (with potential to grow into full-time employment)

About the Role
We are a small, family-run land investment company. In short: we buy from those who see land as a burden and sell to those who see its potential.
We’re looking for our first U.S.-based team member: an Acquisitions Manager who can make a friend out of just about anyone, doesn’t let grumpy people ruin their day, and follows up like it’s their superpower.
You’ll be the first point of contact for landowners—guiding them through our process, helping them feel heard and respected, and sometimes even teaching them about the land-selling process along the way. If you can turn a lead into a real connection, stay cheerful in the face of rejection, and love the idea of helping people while working from anywhere, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
No land or real estate experience required—though it’s a plus. What matters most is that you’re kind, driven, and a quick learner who takes feedback well.

What You’ll Do
Call and/or text seller leads generated by our marketing campaigns
Build rapport and gather basic property details
Follow up relentlessly until a decision is made (sometimes helping educate sellers toward that decision)
Present offers and walk sellers through the sales process
Conduct simple due diligence to spot good land and great deals (don’t worry—our team will handle pricing and comps for you)
Use our tools (Stride, Land Insights, Google Drive) to stay organized and keep the process moving
Communicate clearly and consistently with sellers via call, text, and email

Who You Are
A natural conversationalist—you can talk to anyone and make them feel at ease
You don’t take rejection personally (and you definitely don’t let grumpy sellers ruin your day)
A persistent follow-upper—you don’t drop the ball
Curious and resourceful—you enjoy solving problems and learning on the fly
Detail-oriented—you notice the small stuff
Tech-comfy and process-minded—ready to learn our tools and systems
A team player who values flexibility, responsibility, and connection
Not afraid to take an occasional phone call on an evening or weekend if necessary
Bonus: you’ve worked in sales or real estate—but it’s not required

About Us
We were founded in 2022 by my husband and me as a way to build more flexibility for our family. Since  then, we’ve helped dozens of landowners turn unwanted property into opportunity. Whether they’re tired of paying taxes, no longer have plans for the land, or just want to move on—we’re here to make it simple, trustworthy, and stress-free.
We treat our sellers like family—and we’ll treat you that way, too. You’ll be our first U.S.-based hire, and we’re excited to grow together.

Compensation & Schedule
$20 / hour (1099)
Commission on closed deals
20 hours per week sometime during 9am-7pm EST
Flexible, fully remote schedule
Potential to transition into a full-time role as we grow
