Overview

About Us
VidaliaOnions.com is the online home of A&M Farms, shipping certified Vidalia onions from our packing shed in Vidalia, Georgia to customers across the lower 48. Our family-run farm has been growing these iconic sweet onions for over 30 years, and our online storefront just celebrated its 11th season delivering fresh, hand-packed Vidalias straight to doorsteps nationwide.

We are proud of the relationships we’ve built with customers who return to us year after year—not only because of our onions, but because of the way we take care of them.

About the Role
We’re seeking a Customer Support Agent who embodies genuine hospitality and a heart for service. In this role, you’ll become the friendly, reliable point of contact that customers depend on throughout their purchase experience.

When someone has a question, concern, or needs guidance, you’ll be the person who steps in to help—calmly, kindly, and efficiently. During our shipping season (April–August), you’ll support daily customer needs and oversee orders. Outside of the season, the workload drops substantially, and there is optional work available supporting our social media platforms if that’s of interest.

This is a fully remote position open to applicants within the Southern USA (or those raised in the South who carry that natural hospitality with them). We operate on Eastern Time. You’ll receive paid training on Vidalia onions, our farm, and our shipping process.

What You’ll Do
Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers via our email helpdesk.
  • Provide warm, knowledgeable support to customers—answer questions, offer recommendations, and help them choose the right order for their needs.
  • Educate customers on the history and uniqueness of Vidalia onions (we’ll train you!).
  • Monitor outbound shipments and ensure every box leaves on schedule and arrives as expected.
  • Investigate delayed or missing orders and take ownership of resolving them quickly and completely.
  • Process replacement shipments when needed—always prioritizing the customer experience.
  • Route wholesale or fundraiser inquiries to the appropriate internal team members.
  • Handle order-related challenges with patience, problem-solving, and clear communication.
  • Call customers to assist with phone orders when the online system isn’t the right fit for them.
  • Use Trello (or similar task/project tools) to track customer issues, workflow processes, and daily action items.

Secondary (Optional) Responsibilities

Support social media content and engagement across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and more.

Who You Are
We’re looking for someone with a servant’s heart—the kind of person who genuinely enjoys helping others and takes pride in doing things the right way.

You’re a great fit if you are:

  • Warm, patient, and authentic—someone who brings calm to customer interactions.
  • Trustworthy, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Curious and willing to learn about our crop, our shipping processes, and what makes Vidalias special.
  • A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and follows through.
  • Comfortable using simple workflow tools like Trello, Asana, or similar systems to stay organized.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment with consistent daily check-ins.

Requirements

  1. A reliable Apple or Windows laptop/desktop computer.
  2. Broadband internet connection.
  3. Familiarity with Trello or similar task management tools (or willingness to learn).
  4. Located in or originally from the Southern USA (preferred) to match the tone and culture of our customer base.

Hours & Schedule

In-season (April–August): ~3 hours/day

Off-season: ~1–2 hours/day

Social media support can add hours if desired, but is not required.

How to Apply
If you take pride in helping people, enjoy offering friendly and attentive service, and love the idea of representing a beloved Southern crop, we’d love to hear from you.

Please submit:

1.Your resume

2.A brief note on why this role feels like a fit

3.Any experience you have with customer support, shipping, or task management tools (not required, but helpful!)
