Client Manager (Remote, Part-Time)
## ABOUT THE ROLE
Remote COO is looking for experienced operations professionals to serve as Client Managers, joining our team of experts who provide high-level operational and administrative support to multiple clients remotely on a part-time, long-term basis. We serve small businesses and nonprofit organizations, and we function as an extension of the business owner or Executive Director.
In this position, you are your clients’ trusted partner, and you work as a vital member of their team and ours. You anticipate needs, solve problems, remove friction, and create leverage, bringing order to ambiguity and helping leaders operate at their highest level. Client Managers are assigned to and support multiple clients simultaneously, build and sustain strong relationships, coordinate people, priorities, systems, and strategic initiatives to drive progress and results.

You are vital to their success because you proactively drive optimal business performance by improving processes, enabling consistent execution, and helping leaders turn ideas and initiatives into results.
## WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships as a key point of contact
- Design. implement and improve scalable systems, workflows, and processes that increase efficiency and accountability
- Lead projects, priorities, and strategic initiatives from planning through execution
- Translate goals and strategy into actionable plans, priorities, and next steps
- Identify operational challenges and opportunities and implement practical, scalable solutions
- Support day-to-day business operations while ensuring priorities, commitments, and deliverables stay on track
- Prepare leaders for meetings (agendas, materials, follow-ups)
- Identify inefficiencies, offer thoughtful recommendations, and take initiative to implement solutions that improve client operations
- Coordinate across teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Balance competing priorities across multiple clients with clarity and accountability
## DAY-TO-DAY MAY INCLUDE
- Administrative and operational support, including calendar and inbox management, meeting and travel coordination, project tracking, and research
- Strategic project leadership, process improvement, and operational problem-solving

## AVAILABILITY & WORK EXPECTATIONS
- Available Monday–Friday (generally 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. local time) for meetings, client communication, and collaboration
- Able to commit to 20–25 hours per week with consistent daytime availability
- This role is intended to be a primary professional commitment during standard business hours, requiring consistent availability and responsiveness across client needs and time zones
- While you have flexibility in how you structure your workday, you are expected to be available for client and team communication during business hours and cannot work exclusively evenings or off-hours; compensation is based on time actively worked
## REQUIREMENTS & TECHNOLOGY
- Fully remote, with a quiet, professional, and distraction-free home office environment
- Reliable high-speed internet suitable for video calls and daily client communication
- Dedicated desktop or laptop (not shared) capable of running current Microsoft 365 applications (no Chromebooks, tablets, or iPads)
- Device should be modern and responsive, with the ability to support multiple platforms and tools simultaneously
- Smartphone with email access and push notifications
- Webcam for client and team meetings
- This role follows a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) model
- You may work across tools such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, and WordPress depending on client placement
- Maintain a secure, up-to-date device with required security measures, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and password management tools
- Use company-required tools and follow established security protocols
- Must reside in a U.S. state where Remote COO currently hires employees and be authorized to work in the United States (details provided during hiring process)
- Able to pass background and reference checks
## COMPENSATION
- Compensation ranges from $20–25/hour, based on experience, and includes some paid holidays, ongoing training, flexible workday structure within business hours, a collaborative, values-driven culture built on trust, autonomy, and accountability
- Team members may be eligible for PTO based on hours worked, in accordance with our PTO policy
- Employee is hired on a 90-day probationary period

Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in client-facing operations, project management, business administration, systems management, executive support, or a similar role supporting business operations.
• This is a non-entry-level role requiring strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to operate independently across multiple clients
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and confidence learning, navigating, and leveraging multiple systems, tools, and technologies to support diverse client needs
