We are a small real estate business that specializes in solving difficult property situations: inherited homes, title problems, tax delinquency, and messy ownership. We find families who are stuck and help them move forward, usually by purchasing their property interest.
This is a part-time remote role, approximately 25 hours per week, with real room to grow.
What This Role Actually Is
Part relationship builder, part detective, part dog with a bone.
You will be the first live voice people hear when they call us. You will also be making outbound calls to families who have inherited property, fallen behind on taxes, or found themselves in a situation they do not know how to get out of. Most of them are not looking for you. Some of them do not even know they own a property.
Your job on the first call is simple: confirm who you are talking to, understand what they know about their situation, and determine whether they are open to a conversation about options. You are not closing anything on the first call. You are building the relationship that makes everything else possible.
The money in this business comes from patience and trust, not pressure.
What You Will Own
First-ring pickup on inbound leads routed directly to your phone, with a backup answering service if you cannot answer. Same-day callbacks on any missed calls. Outbound calls and texts on targeted lists of families connected to inherited or tax delinquent properties. Consistent follow-up over days and weeks on warm leads. Natural discovery conversations, no rigid scripts. CRM tracking in Follow Up Boss: notes, stages, follow-up tasks, and call outcomes.
What the Calls Actually Look Like
You will be calling people who have inherited property from a deceased parent or relative, often with complicated situations involving back taxes, multiple heirs, or unclear ownership. These are not aggressive sales calls. You are helping people understand their options and figure out if we can solve a problem they have been avoiding.
Some calls are straightforward. Some are emotional. Some people do not know they own anything. You stay calm, stay curious, and keep moving forward.
Who You Will Work With
You will work directly with me. I own a portfolio of mobile home communities in North Carolina and I am building this distressed property business alongside it. My strengths are in deal structuring and solving complex problems. Your strengths are in finding people, building relationships, and keeping the pipeline moving. We are a good match if you are a self-starter who takes ownership and does not need to be managed day to day. We also have a remote worker who will help on the initial research.
What This Is Not
This is not a role where you clock in and clock out. It is not a rigid scripted call center job. It is not for someone who avoids the phone or needs constant direction.
Compensation
Base + commission. $2,500 per month base for a minimum of 25 hours per week. $750 bonus for every deal you sourced or helped advance to closing. At one to two deals per month your total compensation is $4,000 to $5,000 per month for part-time remote work. Path to percentage-based compensation reviewed at the six-month mark.
Growth
I invest in the people I work with. Access to training, courses, and direct exposure to how complex real estate deals actually get structured and closed. For the right person there is a clear path to increased responsibility and meaningful participation in the upside as the business grows.
Strong Bonus
Any background in paralegal, title, probate, estate, real estate, or legal work. Not required but will get you to the front of the line.

- Strong follow-up discipline, you do not let warm leads go cold
- Ability to have natural unscripted conversations and ask good questions
- Organized and reliable with CRM or note-taking, you log every call and every next step
- Available during business hours at least four days per week
- Self-directed, you take ownership without being chased
Preferred but not required:
- Background in real estate, title, probate, legal, or estate work
- Experience with outbound calling or relationship-based sales
- Familiarity with Follow Up Boss or similar CRM tools
- Comfort reading basic property records or legal documents
What we care about most: do you follow through, do you stay calm when conversations get complicated, and do you take ownership of your pipeline without being managed.
