Growth Lead – Family Meal Planning App

  • Part-Time
  • Remote
  • Ends on December 5, 2025

Overview

The Real Deal Up Front
We’re a bootstrapped meal planning app entering a competitive market. We’ve built something good, but we need the right person to prove families will pay for it.
This is a high-stakes role. You’ll get full autonomy, a clear budget, and 90 days to show us this concept has legs. We’re not looking for someone to “do their best”—we need someone who can deliver results or tell us early it won’t work. Either way, we move forward with clarity.

What We’ve Built
A meal planning app specifically for families dealing with picky eaters, food allergies, and mealtime chaos.

✅ AI meal plans that actually work (one meal, multiple modifications)
✅ 92% profit margins ($0.55/user/month in costs)
✅ MVP ready with beta users loving it
✅ $7/month family plan (cheaper than a single takeout meal)

The Role: Prove We Can Win
You’ll turn our $4K/month marketing budget into paying customers while building an authentic presence in the “picky eater parent” community.

Your 90-Day Mission:

Month 1: 100 paying families (prove the concept works)
Month 2: 300 paying families (prove it scales)
Month 3: 500 paying families (prove users will stay)

Your Monthly Resources:
Marketing Budget: $2,000/month for ads, influencers, tools, etc.
Critical: With a $2K/month ad budget, you CANNOT rely on paid ads alone to hit these targets. You’ll need to be scrappy—mixing organic community growth, micro-influencer partnerships, viral content, and smart targeting to make every dollar count.

What You’ll Own:

  1. Community Growth – Become the trusted voice in picky eater parent Facebook groups, Reddit (r/Parenting, r/pickyeaters), and TikTok
  2. Paid Acquisition – Launch and optimize Facebook/Instagram/TikTok ads targeting “picky eater meal ideas” and “kid won’t eat dinner”
  3. Influencer Partnerships – Find 5-10 “mom life” creators who actually have picky eaters (not the ones whose kids eat kale smoothies)
  4. Content That Converts – Create posts that sound like a friend texting you at 7 PM when your kid refuses dinner again
  5. Data-Driven Pivots – If something’s not working by week 2, you kill it and try something else

Performance Bonuses:
$500 when you hit 100 customers (Month 1 target)
$1,000 when you hit 300 customers (Month 2 target)
$2,000 when you hit 500 customers (Month 3 target)

What We Promise:

  • No micromanagement – You own growth. We own product. Clean lines.
  • Fast decisions – Need to test something? “Try it” is our default answer.
  • Transparent data – You’ll see CAC, LTV, churn, retention—everything
  • Real partnership – Product decisions will be influenced by what you learn from customers
  • Honest feedback – If Month 1 results aren’t there, we’ll talk about it directly
  • Growth potential – If we hit our targets together, this role will expand. We’re looking for someone who wants to build, not just execute. The right person could grow with us as we scale, but we’re focused on proving the concept first.
