ABOUT THE TAX PREPARER POSITION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. This role is full-time during the first quarter (January–April 15) and transitions to part-time (10–20 hours/week) for the remainder of the year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing individual and small business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations, and providing exceptional client service.

TOOLS WE USE:
Quickbooks Online, Wave, Asana, Zoom, Google Workspace, TaxAct Professional
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
Identify potential tax credits and deductions to minimize client liabilities.
Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax documents in compliance with current laws and regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax codes and changes in tax legislation.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on return status.
Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSeries) for efficient and accurate return processing.
Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
