districts, implementing and sponsoring a “Beginning Teacher of the Year” award,
serving on Flame for Learning committee for past 4 years to assist in selection of
Johnston County’s Teacher of the year (both selection committee and judge
committee of 20 finalists), Developed and sponsored a program to bring awareness to
teen vehicular deaths by creating a bumper sticker contest with all 7 Johnston County
High Schools
Highlights: Grew a profitable book of business from 800 clients to over 2,400 in 13
years; administered and managed a group life contract for 5,000 employees; low loss
ratios for property and casualty lines (under company targets), high persistency rates

Responsibilities include: founding the non-profit and filing all IRS paperwork to
receive 501(c) 3 status, organizing donation and sign up program at all 7 Johnston
County high schools, contacting area businesses and churches soliciting monetary and
item donations (usually collect around 300 new dresses and $2,000 in monetary donations each year), creating all of the graphic design, writing and preparing the
brochures and posters, writing press release for local media outlets, scheduling of
volunteers and participants (over 150 people combined) each year, set up, break
down, and decorating the one day “boutique”, recordkeeping of donations received,
sending out tax write off receipts
Highlights: In 4 years over 300 girls have participated in the program and over 50
different volunteers, WRAL News did an interview in March 2013 to highlight the
program, Horace Mann (my current employer did a two and a half minute video that
is featured on our corporate website

Responsible for managing the golf shop inventory, assisting over 400 members many on
a daily basis with scheduling tee times, arranging lessons. Assisted the Head Golf Pro
and assistant Golf Pro with organizing golf tournaments for upwards of 200 people.
