About

About Coach MJ

How I went from a middle of the pack to elite athlete and 2-time Kona Qualifier.

Before I helped hundreds of athletes navigate through training.
Before my 99% success record of helping athletes finish their first Ironman.
Before I was able to figure out what the ideal training formula as, I was a scared, naïve athlete.

I tried using triathlon training books.
I tried using the free online training programs.
I posted in online triathlon forums and groups for information and advice.
I worked with several different triathlon coaches who never really seemed to listen to ME.

See, I knew I wanted to succeed in the sport of triathlon.  I loved the sport that had given so much back to me.  I wanted to be able to help others achieve their goals and feel empowered through triathlon success, just like I had.

Through education, trial and error and dozens upon dozens of clinics, seminars, courses and certifications, I traded in my corporate job to become a full-time triathlon coach.

I achieved all my triathlon goals and I was now determined to help other athletes achieve theirs-

-Without experiencing tremendous amounts of trial and error
-Without investing hundreds or thousands of dollars in needless equipment
-Without the second-guessing and time investment into creating each workout

I wanted to put people on the straight path to athletic success.

I am able to do this because I teach what I know.
I want to give you all the shortcuts I wish I knew way back when.
I want you to know that quality over quantity always wins in terms of your training.
I want to give you that objective opinion, that voice of reason for those situations you just aren’t sure how to handle.
