Overview
We are looking for motivated and service-oriented individuals who are passionate about helping others and changing lives.
You will have full control of your schedule, our classes will be open all day, every day. Students will be able to select the teacher they feel will teach them best. They will select their teachers based on the teacher’s profile page, the reviews on the teacher’s page left by other students, teacher availability, and their own experiences. Every student has their own way of learning and every teacher has their style of teaching.
There will be a strict cancellation policy enforced because we want our students to have the best experience possible, and having classes canceled often does not give them that type of experience. However, a class will not be considered canceled unless a student has booked the class, if the time slot is simply open without a student having booked the class the time slot can be closed at any time.
We are a school that focuses on teaching adults how to communicate in English, primarily how to listen and speak in English. For now, all of our students are adult learners (16+), in the future, we do hope to open it up to younger students. Currently, our student’s native language is Spanish, in the near future we will be opening it up to native speakers of other languages.
In regards to pay this is a W9 position (1099) and will be paid per lesson taught, the rate will start at $5-$6 per thirty-minute lesson (essentially around $10-$12 per hour plus bonuses) depending on educational background and experience. There will be bonuses offered based on student reviews/performance, number of classes taught, and attendance. Raises and opportunities for advancement will also be available in the future.

Qualifications
We are looking for people who want to help their students and who care about them succeeding. We would like people who have experience with ESL or with teaching, preferably, however, if you have a genuine desire to help others still apply please. We would prefer teachers have a bachelors degree but it is not a requirement. An American accent is also preferred.
