Our roster has a role for a highly motivated, organized, and proven content director to drive the content creation efforts on our new nationwide home search portal and other country specific sites. With your help, our home search portal will quickly become one of the top real estate search portals in the US.

Showcase IDX is a leader in home search, consumer engagement, and lead generation, enabling thousands of real estate professionals across 100+ brokerages and teams to harness the full marketing potential of modern marketing. Our consumer-facing tools were used by 12,000,000+ consumers in the last year for 30 million minutes – that’s like watching Avengers Endgame 282,625 times.

In August 2020, we were acquired by eXp World Holdings (Nasdaq: EXPI), and we will continue to operate as an independent company. For our sister company, eXp Realty, we will be developing a national and international search portal product, while maintaining the growth of our existing business.

As the Content Director, you will be responsible for growing our organic audience by working with our internal and external team members to produce content that reaches our target audience. The primary focus is on eXp’s key organic growth channels through our home search and related platforms.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fully-remote/distributed team at the beginning of a new mission, as we look to redefine how people find and buy homes on a national and eventually international scale. This role reports to our CMO and is on our growth team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ShowcaseIDX content team. Coach and manage our existing team and grow content production through contract writers or hiring additional internal writers.
  • Oversee all content production including processes, standards, delivery, and opportunities to refresh historical content.
  • Work closely with our Director of Enterprise SEO to develop a strategic content roadmap that drives website/organic traffic and visitor retention.
  • Lead a team of talented internal and external writers to create specialized content that educates, informs, and inspires a range of audiences in residential real estate.
  • Establish clear success metrics to measure leads and pipeline as well as the quality of content, engagement, and content reach.
  • Report on the progress of your team and the performance of the content under your direction.
  • Oversee peer editing and identify ways to strengthen our content team, while proposing different structures to maximize the results from our content generation resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of SEO experts, product managers, analysts, SMEs and business stakeholders to ensure we reach our OKRs.
  • Analyze content performance and use insights to produce better content and stay ahead of market needs.
  • Develop content themes and pick story ideas that resonate with our target audiences.
  • Hire, train, and coach writers to create SEO optimized content that consistently ranks at the top of SERPs for the targeted keywords while adhering to brand voice and teaching.
  • Lead all aspects to create a well-functioning, high-production content generating team responsible for growing traffic into the tens of millions of users per month. This includes diverse content types including long form content, guest posts, copywriting for different steps along the conversion funnel, advertising copy, video scripts, and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading content teams that generate 200+ articles each month. This may include internal teams, external contractors, and freelancers.
  • 7+ years experience in a managing editorial role, content production role, or agency/account leadership role, with demonstrated success across multiple channels and audiences
  • Experience supervising and/or giving direction to a team of writers, and the ability to effectively motivate and manage teams.
  • Solid experience managing a fully remote team, inclusive of delegating responsibilities, managing performance, supporting growth and development, and providing meaningful feedback.
  • Experience connecting cross-departmental and external teams in an agile environment and communicating performance to a senior audience.
  • Deep experience mapping content to the buyer’s journey through the funnel to drive results.
  • Someone who exercises sound judgment on coverage, resulting in content that drives traffic and engagement.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems and Digital Asset Management platforms.
  • Experience with in-depth content data analysis and skill leading creative feedback and brainstorming workflows.
  • Experience executing a detailed SEO content strategy.
  • Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills using project management software such as Trello or Asana.
  • Have experience effectively managing multiple sizable projects
  • An upbeat & grateful personality.
  • Authentic, servant leadership as a people manager.
  • Experience in real estate or related industries is preferred.
