Charlotte-based PR agency looking for an experienced Account Director to join our fast-growing team. You will wear many hats, most importantly provide strategic leadership to account executives, interns and freelancers. Your biggest strength should be taking vision, ideas and concepts and turning them into strategies, scopes, timelines and deliverables to then be executed by the team. You must be highly organized and deadline driven, but also proactive, creative and forward-thinking. This position reports directly to the CEO and will manage others, so the ability to hit the ground running is key. Knowing how to laugh and roll with the punches is also crucial, because you know PR is anything but predictable.


Working with the CEO to create dynamic and multifaceted strategies while ultimately being responsible for ensuring the quality of all deliverables.
Serve as a trusted client partner, fostering relationships based communication, curiosity and respect.
Leading execution of PR and communications activity while mentoring a team of junior staff.
Seeking opportunities to enhance our level of client experience and bringing new ideas to the table.
Development of KPI’s, tracking and reporting.
Acting as a representative of the agency, serving as a spokesperson in the community and events.


Proven experience with a variety of B2B and B2C clients from diverse industries.

Creation of client strategies that include scope of work, deliverables, timelines and budget with minimal oversight.
Management of a team with the ability to lead by example.
Establishing mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders including media, influencers, community members and industry leaders.
Tactical PR duties such as writing, pitching, media relations and reporting.
Counseling clients and delivering results in a way that exceeds expectations.
Identifying business opportunities and presenting to potential new clients
Passion for PR
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex information in a concise manor
Proactive, not reactive in identifying opportunities and identifying issues.

Position will be remote. Ability to occasionally travel to clients throughout the US  and to our HQ in charlotte NC preferred but not required.
