Job Opening:  Non-Profit Administrative and Outreach Assistant

We are seeking a part-time person to help with administrative and marketing duties.

Our mission is to conserve the priceless natural resources, farmland, scenic beauty and rural character of Rappahannock County, Virginia.  We support policies and actions that protect and enhance these treasures and opposes those that threaten to destroy or degrade them.

We have been in existence over 50 years with an enthusiastic, active, and talented volunteer board, but we are growing to the point that we need help beyond what our Board members are able to do on their own.  We anticipate this job to be about 5-15 hours/week, varying some from week to week.  Hours are flexible and mostly performed from your own home.  Some evenings and weekend work will be required on occasion.

The opportunity for additional hours and responsibilities in the future is a possibility, including creating website and social media content, writing grants and articles for newspapers and other media outlets, helping organize and host webinars, and outreach and liaison with other non-profits and partner organizations.

Technical Skills:

Must have experience working with donor data management (CRM) systems such as Bloomerang, Kindful (or similar).  Skills must include:  constituent and donation data entry, maintaining database integrity, running reports, creating emails and letters for donation acknowledgments; creation of informational emails, event announcements,  or other similar correspondence.
Managing our social media content and activities.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Must have good grammar and writing skills.  Must be detail-oriented and capable of conducting quality control on all communications.

Qualifications

Preferred experience: 2-5 years experience in the following areas: • CRM web-based database content and reporting, • Website development and content management, • Nonprofit or education experience, • Marketing and/or fundraising experience, • Working familiarity with Bloomerang, Kindful or similar CRM systems, Eventbrite, and Zoom is a plus.
