As an Experienced Bookkeeper, you’ll be the main point of contact for multiple client engagements. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial well-being of our clients. You’ll be responsible for keeping the books current, closing out the books, preparing and reviewing financial statements, solving any issues that may arise, and communicating with clients, vendors, and leading team members. You must have a full understanding of journal entries. You’ll provide general accounting services; and ensure that all financial data is recorded accurately and on time within Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policy.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Full Charge Bookkeeping
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Account reconciliations (bank, credit cards, loans, payroll, sales tax)
  • Month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Preparation and review of financial statements
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable support
  • Setting up and running payroll
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Sales tax calculations and return filings
  • Communication with multiple clients via email, phone, and video conference calls
  • Reviewing and updating the documentation of processes and procedures
  • Journal Entries
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of bookkeeping experience – public accounting or multiple client engagements experience preferred (i.e. CPA firms or other bookkeeping firms serving multiple client engagements).
  • Top-notch problem-solving skills – This is the number one most important skill a bookkeeper must have! Bookkeeping really is more about figuring things out than the actual math.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to show confidence and professionalism

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a salary position, starting salary is $40K for a 4-day work week, starting at 40K to $55K based on experience.

This position is a W-2.

You cannot have another Bookkeeping or accounting  job,  or your own clients.

Flexible work schedule – You will be expected to work primarily between 8:30 am-5:30 pm EST with an hour lunch. The schedule is flexible offering you time for your and your family’s needs. ( 4 day work week)

Qualifications

3 Years Bookkeeping Experience, QUICKBOOKS ONLINE Certified or Expert in QBO & Excel, Accounting Degree ( 2 or 4yr)
