Murphy Law is seeking an organized, experienced, and self-motivated Office Manager to join their growing law firm. Murhpy Law specializes in family, criminal and personal injury law. The Office Manager will work closely with the owner of the firm in managing the logistics and day-to-day processes of operating the law firm.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic with extreme and relentless attention to detail, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also possess great people-skills and can communicate well with clients and complete tasks autonomously.

This is a part-time position beginning at approximately 20 hours per week with the potential to turn to a full-time role over time.

Responsibilities:

●        Working with the team remotely; supporting attorneys; and managing the law office

●        Develop and maintain standard operating policies and procedures for sales, cases, and internal procedures in addition to process improvements

●        Mange the practice calendar including but not limited to marketing, clients, and events

●        Assist with Coordinating firm events

●        Assist with managing marketing activities (blogs, social media posts, events, speaking engagements)

●        Managing accounts payable and accounts receivables

●        Manage vendor communications and negotiations

●        Case management/legal assistance:

o    Communicate with clients, attorneys, court personnel and vendors to obtain and publish case information as needed

o    Track and update case logs

o    Create tracking mechanisms and systems as required

o    Assist with the collection, assembly, and organization of documents in preparation for court filings and for transaction filings

o    Draft letters, memos, agreements, correspondence

●        Type, proofread and format correspondence, PDF and Word documents, according to attorney’s preferences

●         Human resources management:

o    Manage employee workflow

o    Conduct interviews and help with the selection of support staff/interns

o    Manage the workload of support staff/interns

o    Develop and maintain standard onboarding operating procedures manual

●        Suggest new technologies/efficinicies if appropriate

Qualifications:

●        5+ years of office management/administration experience required

●        Prior law firm experience preferred

●        Degree educated preferred

●        Proficient in MS Office, cloud-based filing (Dropbox and Google Drive), and email functions

●        Experience with Asana and MyCase Case Management software is a plus

●        Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong proofreading, grammar and spelling skills
