Overview

We manage the day-to-day financial affairs for adult clients that are too busy or overwhelmed to pay bills, organize for taxes, submit medical claims, and manage basic household maintenance. Our clients include busy professionals, older adults that have some health issues that make managing the finances difficult, and younger adults that have been diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Asperger’s or Autism. We may act in tandem on perform on behalf of clients.

We serve clients in the metropolitan DC area primarily. You will need to be able to drive to their homes and visit and pick-up mail. Need to be able to manage 10 – 20 billable hours a week of which 30 – 40% may involve driving and being at client’s home (following COVID guidance.)

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

1)     Organizing for tax filing

2)     Elimination of unused services

3)     Detection, protection, and reduction of predatory services and fraud

4)     Balancing checkbooks and organizing finances

5)     Home visit reporting to client and approved family members

6)     Compile a monthly cash flow summary to illustrate income vs. expenses

7)     Handling bill payments to include online services and credit card accounts

8)     Home maintenance scheduling, competitive bidding using vetted and trusted providers

9)     Complete, submit and collect medical claim reimbursements as well as Long-term care insurance claims

10)  Overall customer satisfaction based on feedback from client and involved family members

11)  Reporting and support to Trustee, POA, or parent

Qualifications

Ability to stay calm, exhibit empathy, and prioritize and focus on primary goals with attention to detail. Experience managing a household budget, cash flow, and reconciling both on-line banking and manual checking accounts. Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Work, and/or tools such as QuickBooks or Quicken. Ability to work one-on-one with clients (following covid protocols) as well as coordinate using zoom and phone calls.
