We are a growing and progressive firm that provides Client Accounting Services to Nonprofits and Small businesses.

We help our clients stay in compliance, provide comprehensive financial information and utilize technology tools to help deliver them.  We are growing and are currently seeking a Senior Accounting professional to assist with services provided to our clients.

The ideal candidate must be available during standard work hours of 9:00am to 6:00pm EST.

Work will be conducted remotely.

 

Salary/Compensation: Ranges from $65,000 to $70,000 annually.

 

Employment Status: Regular, Full-Time, Exempt

 

Hours:

General working hours are 9am-6pm; flexible work schedule available upon approval; evenings and occasional weekends, as assigned.

 

Job Responsibilities

Maintain accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Entering deposits
Billing and monitoring of Accounts Receivable aging
Entering expenditures, bill payment with the motoring of Accounts Payable aging
Grant management to include proper allocations of income and expenses
Month end reporting including account reconciliations and GL maintenance
Processing of payroll and payroll changes
Monthly preparation of financial reports
Cash Flow reporting
Assisting with budget preparations
Assisting with 990 preparations
Assisting with annual audit schedules and other compliance reports
Year-end reporting to include 1099 processing and proper cut off for AP and AR transactions.
Provide guidance and recommendations to clients regarding Chart of Accounts, Classes, Departments for ease of reporting
Forming and maintaining relationship with clients
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting or business
5-7 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience is required
Detail oriented and takes pride in the accuracy of work performed
Ability to handle multiple deadlines for more than one client
Experience working with QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks Online is preferred.
Experience working with IMIS, Great Plains and Sage is an added bonus
Familiarity with non-profits and how they operate and differ from other businesses
Great communication skills and reliable
Adaptability and flexibility with working in a virtual environment
Must have ideal working conditions to work remotely from home. Internet connection and a quiet space
