Overview

The Senior Bookkeeper/Quality Control Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting services for our clients. This includes conducting periodic reviews of financial transactions, entering advanced bookkeeping entries, overseeing month-end and year-end closing procedures, preparing financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and identifying inefficiencies in bookkeeping processes. This position reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all necessary adjustments are made for accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and package comprehensive financial reports for clients, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends
  • Conduct periodic reviews of financial transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Implement quality control measures to review financial records for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of bookkeeping tasks performed by bookkeepers
  • Establish standardized procedures to ensure accurate and seamless handoff of financial records
  • Enter advanced bookkeeping entries, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and depreciation
  • Assist with budgeting, financial analysis and forecasting and expense tracking activities
  • Identify inefficiencies in bookkeeping processes and implement solutions to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and optimize productivity
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations, industry standards, and best practices to ensure compliance
  • Maintain data security and confidentiality in all bookkeeping activities
  • Implement quality control measures to review financial records for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of bookkeeping tasks performed by bookkeepers
  • Establish standardized procedures to ensure accurate and seamless handoff of financial records
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and maintaining professional communication
  • Assist in managing client expectations and ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Keep detailed and organized records of client interactions, agreements, and project milestones

Additional Details:

  • Contract-to-hire opportunity
  • 15-20 hours per week (3-4 hours per day, M-F) with opportunity to grow with us
  • Remote position with flexibility working within the regular business hours of 8AM-6PM Pacific Time.
  • Must pass a bookkeeping test to assess skill level
