Bookkeeper

Overview

We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This role would lead all financial activities of the company, including but not limited to, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and end of year reporting.

 

Responsibilities:

·      Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing clients and paying contractors

·      Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations across several states

·      Maintain the general ledger and prepare financial statements for end of year reporting for external tax accountant

·      Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, troubleshooting any errors in reconciliation

·      Review and code receipts, invoices, and bills

·      Trouble shoot problems and create SOPs (standard operating procedures) as needed for your role and duties

·      Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

·      Provide support for any financial or regulatory projects

 

Qualifications:

·      Proven experience in a similar role and with necessary software and programs

·      Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

·      Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

·      Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies

·      Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality

·      Exemplary problem solving and communication skills

 

This is a fully remote role. We are an East Coast based company with employees in multiple states. We are a small, yet growing company that is intentional about how we build. We watch the work, not the clock and can be flexible to your working hours, as long as work is completed, deadlines are met and expectations are communicated.
