Overview

As our content + community manager you would be responsible for a variety of tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

You’ll oversee the development of marketing content which includes video and written materials designed to drive sales, conversions, engagement, and retention via all social media.
You’ll be involved in developing strategies for creating and distributing the company’s consistent weekly content, promotion of paid products and programs, as well as identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion.
You should have a deep understanding of YouTube, podcasting, information products, and the overall digital media industry and consistently stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

You are a self-starter and can self-manage, eager to take initiative and anticipate needs.
You’ll work alongside the CEO to ensure you have the items you need no less than two weeks in advance. You will also be back-up in helping make sure we’re no less than two weeks ahead in social media planning/content each week. We will be using Clickup to create a workflow for all of us to stay on task and on track that we will create and use alongside the podcast and video + graphic editor.
You are an excellent communicator – proactive in outreach and professional in delivery.
We expect regular check-ins via Slack (M-F) within 24 hours to ensure that video deliverables are on time and to communicate if anything is needed from a fellow team member.
Learning new technology comes easily to you. You are tech-savvy and have an understanding of online business tools.
We expect that you’ll be able to adapt as we learn new tools and resources to make our content and social media channels better as a whole.
You exude a high level of professionalism and emotional maturity.
We understand life happens and with that, we expect that we’ll be able to have enough buffer room to prevent any issues in keeping our production schedule. If something comes up, please communicate with the CEO as you’ll work together to come to a solution.
You can think creatively to problem-solve and navigate through a roadblock.

JOB TASKS:

DAILY:

Create, produce, and implement a cohesive content strategy* that’s aligned with company goals and is tailored to engage, entertain, and convert our audience into raving fan customers.
Collaborate with a video + graphic editor to mine and provide feedback for the needed social media assets to fulfill the content plan* for the week from podcast episodes or the vault of videos we have.
Cultivate conversations and engagement through community management which includes responding to simple DM messages, sending new follower/friend videos, approving group members and posts, and engaging with comments.

WEEKLY:

Collaborate with the podcast editor to create a summary for the twice-weekly podcast.
Make strategic decisions when it comes to hooks and headlines for social media and podcast titles and relay them to the podcast editor + video editor.
Upload the podcast videos to the YouTube channel.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that content is fresh, and relevant, and stops people on their scroll.
Regularly track and get insights into competitors’ strategies and investigate benchmarks to provide suggestions for improvement.

MONTHLY:

Work alongside the CEO in helping advance the company’s priorities and crafting the marketing/promotion strategy that aligns with current trends for all content marketing.
Manage Manychat sequences in order to help streamline community management and decrease the amount of time spent in the DMs.
Developing systems for content ideation and creation that ensure effective and efficient workflows that also allow us to bank our past content.
Other copywriting duties as assigned.
