POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking to bring on an experienced, entrepreneurial minded leader to help us grow the business.  We are seeking a knowledgeable, passionate and driven individual to head up our business division. In this position, you will play a critical leadership role within the organization and oversee sales, marketing, service and support new business within the organization.  You will report directly to the president and oversee a small and driven team of staff members to support the vision.  You’ll be tasked with helping develop short and long-term visions with tactical plans to execute and meet or exceed goals.  You should have experience managing brand growth, sales/revenue streams, cultivating new business and providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be eager and excited to learn and be a part of building an organization.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities below include the following:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations related to servicing and supporting existing clients and executing on the company’s goals and missions
  • Work closely with company leadership team to design short and long-term business strategies and build an action-based road map to drive company growth
  • Seek out and secure new business, clients and partners to expand revenue and reach
  • Design and implement marketing and sales strategies for the company
  • Support social media presence
  • Work closely with leadership and technology teams to create an optimized UI/UX system that can continuously provide top-quality results for clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support for all internal and external clients
  • Support research projects including basic data analysis, data sorting and design
  • Oversee a small team of staff in client services and account management
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Strong knowledge of customer service and personal belief in making memories and moments for others
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves, wear multiple hats and excitement at building a brand
  • Experience working directly with sports and entertainment brands and a strong understanding of best practices, challenges and opportunities within the industry
  • Direct experience building, managing and sustaining a portfolio of client accounts
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and performance goals
  • Deep knowledge of sales and customer service
  • Experience leading a team with a focus on personnel development, growth and scale
  • Proactive mindset-thinking beyond the checklist to how to exceed expectations
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) to establish strong connections and represent the brand
  • Able to work as part of a team and thriving with others while also being able to function independently as needed
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet all deadlines as assigned, time management is critical and an essential component
  • Strong grasp of basic math and statistics concepts
  • Able to establish working relationships with a variety of people
  • Flexible thinking, creativity and innovative mindset to go beyond what has been done and create high-value opportunities for the brand and partners
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and poise

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Bachelors Degree or advanced degree in related field
-M.A. or advanced degree strongly preferred
-Minimum 5 years of work experience in a sales or revenue role
-Experience managing a team of at least two individuals
-Direct experience working with cross-functional teams in a customer service or entertainment setting
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, Adobe Reader and Internet Explorer
-Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and some holidays
-Comfortable working virtually
-Ability to travel for client visits as necessary and assigned
-Extensive knowledge of the sports industry, events and customer service
-Direct experience working for a sports team or league strongly preferred
