Easterling Law is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant who wants to work from home with a flexible schedule! 

This is a remote, possible 1099 or W-2 position. Hours can be flexible: desires at least 4 hours of the day between the hours of 9a to 5p EST, Monday – Friday – the other hours may be flexible (day or night). 35 to 40 hours / week. The hourly rate is $15 to $17/hour.

This is a great opportunity for a legal/administrative professional! Duties include data and time entry, cover letters, closing and non-engagment letters, client intake, and scheduling, and some administrative duties as required.

The candidate is responsible for reviewing documents for transactions for accuracy/completeness, coordinating with lawyers to correct any discrepancies/errors, and entering the transaction into the system. This position requires the candidate to possess high attention to detail as this position involves responsibility for the accuracy of documentation critical to the legal transactions.

Results Expected: All administrative work is processed and documented accurately and timely. Office Manager/Owner is communicated within a timely and accurate manner. All files and reports are maintained and provided as required. All administrative tasks are completed as assigned. The candidate should have the ability to multitask effectively. Demonstrates attention to detail by achieving thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency when accomplishing a task.


Maintain the privacy of all clients, employees, and volunteer information and access such information only on as need to know basis for business purposes.

Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and security obligations. Report unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful behavior or activity.

Manage documents and data in such a way as to assure client confidentiality is protected at all times.

Requirements: - 3+ years of proven experience in the legal industry as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role - Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities - Excellent organizational skills - Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles - Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software (ERP etc.) - Qualifications in secretarial studies will be an advantage - High school diploma; Associates in office administration or relevant field is preferred
