Do Your Thing is hiring a Staff Bookkeeper to round out our team. Your mission: help us deliver high-quality useful financials to our portfolio of makers & world-changers.

The ideal addition to our team is a certified QBO ProAdvisor who shares our commitment to eliminating drudgery and numbers-shame. You’ve got at least 2 years of virtual bookkeeping experience, and are driven by a deep abiding love for debits and credits and all things accounting. You’re experienced in Liscio and Karbon (or at least familiar with them), and are fluent in Slack, Google Suite, Gusto, QB Time & plug-ins to QBO.

If this is you, then you also know excellent communication skills, adaptability to new tech & ways of working, and the ability to work independently in a 100% virtual job are key.

Bookkeeping is a highly cyclical & detail-oriented endeavor. Your basic tasks would include:

·      Reconciling bank and credit card accounts for a portfolio of clients;

·      Communicating with Clients to source documents and info needed to complete work;

·      Generating basic monthly reports for Clients, with the potential to grow into more analytical and cash flow-related tasks;

·      Communicating & sharing Client-related info with your colleagues in Slack, Liscio & Karbon;

·      Participating in virtual team meetings and training;

·      Other items, as needed.

The position requires 10-15 hours/week to begin, depending on the week given the cyclical flow of the work itself. This is an employee position, so you’d be on payroll. Compensation package includes paid holidays and time off. This position is 100% virtual.
