Overview

The Email Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of email & SMS campaigns. You will use our data-driven marketing plans as a guide to develop, project-manage, and coordinate campaigns. These campaigns can include product launches, blogs, promotions, lead generation initiatives, nurture sequences, and more. While the type of campaigns can vary, they are all designed to attract, convert, and engage customers. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of email marketing concepts and strategies, is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, understands project management, and naturally communicates change to a variety of team members and stakeholders.

You need to be able to context shift often in an agency setting and be comfortable with ambiguity as we don’t always get detailed input to work with. The right candidate will have a solid understanding of digital marketing, email marketing, and marketing strategy, and will be excited to join and support the team as the email and SMS campaign implementor.

Bonus if you enjoy identifying opportunities, breathing life into campaigns, and watching small businesses succeed!

Job Responsibilities
Drive the execution of outgoing email & SMS campaigns for our clients. This includes tracking status, project management with the team, building first drafts of emails, previewing emails and driving QA testing, and overall communication to the team and stakeholders.
Collect, organize, share, and manage content. This includes centralizing content from numerous shared repositories, formatting and resizing creatives, keeping track of files and versions, and at times creating content yourself.
Build first drafts of emails using agency templates and saved blocks, and a WYSIWYG editor. While we do have developers and graphic designers on the team, you will be creating the first draft of emails based on simple briefs and broad directions from the marketing calendar. You will feel comfortable switching out creatives, writing placeholder copy, checking links, and customizing templates to meet the needs of the current campaign.
Project manage and liaise with the team to bring campaigns to completion. This includes creating and assigning tasks with detailed instructions and deadlines to the team for creative needs, copywriting needs, or development needs to be involved in the campaign. You would keep an eye on tasks to ensure projects are running smoothly and be available for questions or clarifications with the team.
Improve and streamline agency campaign production processes. You will observe and then propose improvements to the process of developing marketing campaigns. You will maintain our library of Agency Templates and serve as an onboarding resource for new team members to learn how to contribute effectively.
Manage feedback rounds, QAing, and schedule campaigns. This includes previewing campaigns internally for QA, making minor adjustments, QAing to client, and making final adjustments. Once an email is final, you would be the one to schedule, mark as complete, update the marketing calendar, and close any project management tasks. You would also with time oversee regular A/B testing of the subject line, creative, and sending strategies.
Keep marketing assets in sync and easy to find. You will make sure client folders are updated with all email pngs, email PSDs (or source files), briefs, etc., and that both client marketing calendars and our project management system is kept up to date.
Contribute to stellar communication.
You will attend team calls for clients (weekly or monthly), support in reviewing the marketing calendar and update the status of campaigns.  You will also draft status reports for client meetings.
