Baby Sitters Guild fills positions in New York City, Brooklyn, and Queens. We serve Hoboken, Weehaken, and Princeton, NJ and the CT suburbs. The successful candidate will have familiarity with these areas. The position is remote  with the possibility of occasional visits to our NYC office.

The primary roles and responsibilities of the Concierge Order Associate include:

-answering phone calls, emails, and messages from clients (including but not limited to: families, hotel concierge desks, and childcare services seeking babysitters)
-recording all detail for each sitting job in multiple online systems
-assigning BSG sitters to jobs that match their availability, location, and skill sets
-managing scheduling for all babysitting/pet sitting jobs in an online scheduling system
-managing scheduling for ongoing sitting engagements, such as childcare during Sunday church services
-communicating with BSG sitters around their schedules and availability
-communicate directly with the agency regarding any issues that arise
-ensure a smooth client experience
-supporting BSG CEO Maria Davalos

Qualifications

The ideal candidatewill be comfortable multi-tasking, will be tech-savvy, and will be capable of providing polished customer service. We seek a candidate who brings a solution oriented approach to managing a complex schedule with moving parts. Clear, professional communication with clients and BSG staff will be key to success in this role. We seek a candidate who recognizes the importance of reliable childcare for working families and visitors to NYC alike. Required Skills: good organizational ability, as you are always 'on duty' a good sense of humor, enthusiasm and stamina to cope with long working hours an outgoing personality, common sense and excellent communication skills the ability to work well in a team the ability to show initiative proficiency in Google Suite, especially Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Forms, and Google Docs. comfortable using online scheduling tools and will be able to install and utilize our Time Keeping and Shift Scheduling mobile phone app on your SmartPhone and desktop able to calmly direct complaints to senior management and/or resolve problems with clients Communicate and enforce all Human Resource policies per the Baby Sitters’ Guild Handbook Qualifications for Concierge Order Associate: Ability to develop and follow systems and processes that are put in place to achieve efficient operations Complete all training provided by Baby Sitters’ Guild Be proficient with SmartPhone apps, email, and password websites, (e.g. Paychex) Be coachable, with willingness to make adjustments based on feedback from management Must have US Work Authorization Must pass a national and company background check All candidates will possess the following qualities: Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
