HireMyMom is NOT an agency. We are a platform bringing job seekers / Mom professionals together with small businesses and entrepreneurs seeking to hire them as independent contractors or W-2 employees. We are not a middle man and do not earn fees or commissions from either party. The hiring selection is completely up to the business hiring and the pay is negotiated between the two parties. HireMyMom is not involved in any part of hiring or the payment process. Unlike many of the job sites which charge 10-20% fees on every payment to the candidate.

There are a lot of factors to consider on whether you will get a job on HireMyMom or any place you apply. Those factors include your relevant skills, training and experience and how well they match the job.
In addition, it will depend on your cover letter and resume and if they are done in a professional, eye-catching way that gets the employer’s attention. Another factor to consider is how well you interview.
In addition, it depends on how actively you search for jobs. We recommend daily or every couple of days as some jobs are filled in 3-5 days if the hiring person is in a hurry. Those candidates who only check occasionally, have much less success typically. And not surprisingly, those who put the time and effort into the job search, have the most success.
To help you be as prepared as possible, we have several articles on our blog to help in each of these areas. Check some of them here: https://www.hiremymom.com/blog/category/resume-cover-letters

We are definitely geared towards helping moms. We’ve been in the “mom” market for over 20 years and that is our niche. There are lots of sites out there for freelancers in general that you may be more interested in. However, we do not restrict anyone from joining.
Due to the nature of our business, we cannot offer refunds for periods currently enrolled in since once a person joins and logs in, they are able to immediately apply for any and all jobs posted.
However if your subscription renewed and you did not intend it to, please contact us to cancel and refund your subscription.
A variety of jobs are posted in categories such as:
Some are full-time, some part-time, some contract / 1099 and some are W-2 Employee jobs. The majority tend to be part-time contractor / freelance jobs.
Take a look at some of the recent jobs posted here.
We aim to keep HireMyMom 100% scam free. Each job that is posted goes through our approval process. We research the company / person, look for negative reviews and other red flags before deciding if a job will be posted to our members. And there are many that do not pass the test and do not get posted.
As with any job or project, we strongly encourage members also to do research on the company and the person hiring. Please contact us if you have any questions or suspicions about any job post.

The hiring company will pay you directly. It is up to the two of you to agree upon an acceptable wage and timeline to get paid. You are responsible for setting up acceptable payment methods and checking the company and person out with the www.bbb.org, sitejabber.com, LinkedIn, etc. HireMyMom.com is not involved in the payment process. And unlike other sites, we do not earn a percentage of your fees or earnings. What you make, you keep. Well except for what Uncle Sam is entitled to.
