Specifically at the law firm I worked at, I was responsible for producing all of their financial reports. I also took care of tracking numerous items in spreadsheets and am very skilled in using them.

While I don’t have experience with Wave, I have used Quickbooks and Tabs3 software for accounting software – each different, but they produce the same data. I am a quick learner and confident I would have no issue navigating with new software.

I began my last position as an Accounting Technician, and worked my way up to Chief Business Official in less than five years. During my 17-year tenure, I learned all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting, and developed strategies to ensure my work was accurate and timely. Effectively juggling multiple tasks was routine, and I discovered that my flexible nature allowed me to easily accommodate shifting priorities. Team work was essential in my position, and I appreciated the value of diverse viewpoints. I graduated from SIUC in 2007 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. Shortly after that I had my first child and have stayed home with my children since then. Family is important to me; being home during my children’s younger years, volunteering at school, and being a coach. Yet, I did not want to give up working completely so I have been working online for the past six years. My most recent tasks include creating and formatting spreadsheets with Xcel, updating bimonthly allocation reports, and coordinating orders between management, the client, and technicians.
