We are seeking a full-time High-Level Bookkeeper to join our remote team serving online businesses in their money and financial goals. The Bookkeeper will work with all team members and clients directly to ensure that the client’s accounting needs are met.
In a typical week, the Bookkeeper will review data inputs in Quickbooks Online that are completed by our support team. They will also be responsible for running payroll, paying client vendors, tracking accounts receivable, and communicating the data to clients. They will also reach out proactively to clients to see what additional needs a client has. On a less regular basis, this Bookkeeper will monitor and complete sales tax returns, liaison with the CPA regarding income taxes, and play a role in annual tax filings. This person will be responsible for communicating open items and gathering information and documentation from the clients. In addition, this person will ensure that new projects and existing projects are organized in such a way that all get completed and that the work is evenly spread out between the team.

Review & Management of Data Input: Ensure that all transactions from all bank accounts are correctly categorized for each client on a weekly basis
Client payments: Feel comfortable utilizing the client’s money to pay bills and team members
Communication: Proactively discuss needs and projects with the client, in a confident and professional manner
1-2 years of prior bookkeeping experience
Well-organized with a clear understanding of U.S.-based accounting practices
Fully competent in QuickBooks Online
Familiarity with common purchases that online businesses make is a HUGE PLUS
