Role Overview
The StoryArtisan role of writer/content creator focuses on writing, editing, and giving creative input on a variety of content creation areas. Responsibilities include:
Write and Edit Content – Compose compelling book drafts, course scripts, and instructional content copy in keeping with our established storytelling structure and the needs of the project. Review and edit the writing of others for style and grammar
Interview and Ideate – Investigate content topics, conduct interviews with our partners and others, extract key insights, and invent creative angles consistent with our proven process.
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of creative projects in an environment that encourages creativity. You will also have ample opportunity to grow in this role as the company expands and to expand your own skill sets and knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Skills Required
- Demonstrated expertise as a writer and an excellent grasp of the nuances and grammar of the English written language.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator, able to interact well with other team members and with our clients).
- Self-starting and disciplined in work habits with little supervision.
- Eager to learn and grow, able to accept and give constructive feedback, and work collaboratively with a team.
- Think creatively and communicate new ideas well.
- Accomplish tasks on time and communicate proactively.
- Familiarity with Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat.
- Must be able to work within the team’s task management system.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. English, Writing, or similar writing-focused degree(s) a plus.
- Preferred minimum 2 years experience in publishing, writing, education, communication, or marketing fields that include a writing focus. Adult education experience is a plus.

Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $25-$35/Hour commensurate with experience
