Overview

We are looking for a part-time marketing and branding expert to help manage and grow our social media presence. Our online business has brands developed around designing and selling shelves, wall mounted organizers, and home decor. We are also in the process of  launching a new brand that focuses on Montessori educational materials and learning tools, targeted at the 0-5 year old age range. While the individual in this role will support our existing home goods and decor brands, he/she is expected to spearhead the marketing and branding efforts of the new Montessori brand.

We want a team member who understands our target demographic and how to talk to them. He/She must have an empathetic side and be able to maintain consistent and regular engagement with our audience through a variety of social media platforms. We are looking to add emotion, empathy and real, substantive engagement to our brand.  Bottom line — we want a rockstar who can build a community of superfans around our brands!

Our business is very numbers driven and we value the importance of developing and tracking metrics.We need you to help us determine which numbers are important in the social media world, how to track them, and what goals we should be striving for.

Our social media audience consists of a 1,500 person email list, two 4k follower Instagram accounts, and 3k ManyChat subscribers. We would like to see these numbers grow and expand to include additional platforms such as Pinterest.

We have an on-staff graphic artist who will closely support the marketing and branding team member by producing graphics for social media use. An ideal candidate will work with the graphic artist to plan and create content for each platform. He or she will also find existing relevant content and re-purpose it for our audience.

Job Duties:
Plan, strategize and set goals for each social media platform
Develop brand awareness and online reputation
Draft frequent emails to audience and monitor email engagement
Create, post, and monitor Pinterest pins
Create, post, and monitor Instagram
Send bi-monthly ManyChats messages (Facebook chat bot)
(optional) Amazon Live product demos (20 min product live streams) a plus, but not required

 

Who you are:

You are a team player who can work well and be trusted without too much supervision. You are a go-getter that is willing to learn new things, own tasks, and take the lead. You have extensive experience managing and growing a social media following.

You are looking for a part-time role with flexible hours (estimated 10-15 hours per week). You have a good internet connection/speed. Being familiar with Montessori schools and teaching methods is a huge plus. You love social media and everything about it.

We are an ecommerce company that has been selling on Amazon and Shopify for over four years. We sell physical products: home goods and novelty products. We currently have  six employees and are growing fast. We are completely time and location independent, but maintain a close team camaraderie and effective communication through use of online tools such as Slack.In our opinion, getting good work done on time is more important than logging hours.
