We’re a values driven company and are looking to make the world a better place through the companies we work with. We’re seeking a part-time hands-on Accounting Manager to join our growing team. Initial hours are 10 hours per week and will grow as our needs and client base continues to expand.

This role is client facing with numerous opportunities to grow within the firm as well as provide meaningful insights and value to our clients. The position is a hybrid of accounting, finance, tax and operational duties. You will be responsible for overseeing the monthly close process, performing financial analyses and budgeting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary services offered to our clients are fractional CFO/controller services. We’re looking for someone who can help with the following for our clients:

  • You will have direct reports including a staff accountant and bookkeeping team and will be responsible to manage them and oversee all aspects of the month-end close process.
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes including A/R, A/P, prepaids, accruals, commission calculations, payroll, fixed assets and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage the various accounting functions including: reconciliations of all G/L accounts, financial statement review and analysis and budgeting.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and consolidations.
  • Build out and implement accounting systems, processes and procedures.
  • Assist clients to develop operational reporting tools to monitor, analyze, and drive the growth of their businesses.
  • Lead the transition process and rebuild financial statements from cash/tax to accrual method of accounting.
  • Work with external tax advisors for optimization and compliance filings.
  • Business analysis on specific areas and new projects as directed.

YOU ALSO HAVE:

  • BS degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA preferred
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Xero and Quickbooks
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
