Overview

We are hiring a part-time content marketer who specializes in social media management but is not afraid to write an occasional email newsletter or blog post, as needed. Because we’re growing FAST, we’re looking for a T-shaped content marketer with experience in social media management — basically a superstar with mad copywriting skills and a knack for curating images and establishing visually cohesive assets to assist our company and clients. Experience managing social media for different brands is a must.

A successful candidate will have a body of work that showcases:

  • compelling copywriting that drives engagement and action,
  • visually appealing feeds that create a branded experience for social media audiences, and

A successful candidate will also have strong communication skills, and the ability to help clients make better marketing decisions. In fact, we are passionate about using data to help clients make better marketing decisions.  Don’t worry if you’re not a data wonk or math geek. We have that covered and will support your work with data along the way.

  • Pays attention to details.
  • Can self-edit.

  • Handles trolls with the dignity and respect they don’t deserve, but does it anyway.
  • Can shake off negative or critical comments online
  • Has editor’s eye when it comes to curating images for social feeds.
  •  Can post on the fly (i.e. within 12-24 hours) when required.
  • Get’s excited (and a bit evangelical) about JEDI marketing (i.e. justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.)
  • Loves grammar and isn’t afraid to take a stand on the Oxford comma.
  • Possesses an expansive vocabulary and wields it with precision.
  • Can also manage admin and projects according to Agency protocols and client needs.
  • Loves jumping in to do whatever it takes to help clients, including occasional tasks that fall outside of their job descriptions.
  • Sometimes, you got to do what you got to do to help a client or colleague out.
  • Has specific experience with a digital marketing agency (just a bonus; not a requirement.)
  • Can easily spot all the missing periods in this list 🙂

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Writing social media copy for both ads and organic posts (don’t worry if you have limited experience writing ad copy, we will train you!)
  • Curating images for social media and ads.
  • Conducting hashtag research.
  • Engaging and building community regulars through comments, likes, and shares on other accounts.
  • Checking DMs and responding to fan and follower DMS and questions.
