Overview

This position will work directly with the founder of a small management consulting business, while engaging with other team members and clients, on occasion. The role includes two distinct work functions: internal operations and delivery support. The primary work involves internal operations activities that will enable the business to continue to scale and meet the needs of a growing client base. The delivery support activities will vary depending on the client requirements and the business needs.

This position is a part-time, permanent opportunity, with an estimated 20-25 hours per week. Although the position is 100% virtual, the work would primarily be performed during normal business hours (EST).

Internal Operations: The internal operations support includes several routine/recurring activities such as:

  • Operations & Reporting: Submitting invoices to clients & tracking receivables, pulling timesheets and other project reports on a routine/scheduled basis, maintaining spreadsheets for projections or other business planning efforts, etc.
  • Proposal Development: proofreading, conducting research, managing submission schedules, etc.
  • Ad hoc and/or evolving needs: assisting with scheduling, managing calendly account, researching and resolving operational issues to enable continued business growth.

Delivery Support: The delivery support requirements of this position are more flexible and can be defined based on the skills and experience of the candidate. This support could include:

  • Client Project Administration: Supporting scheduling, managing the calendly account, updating Trello boards or other project status trackers, and/or notetaking for client meetings or focus groups.
  • Deliverable Support (based on need and experience): Reviewing client deliverables for quality control, creating powerpoint presentation outlines (using existing templates) for team members to input their content,  and/or creating draft messaging/communications for our clients.

Qualifications

Required: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; experience with project tracking, management reporting, and/or maintaining spreadsheets; and, moderate proficiency in presentations (creating, editing, modifying slide formats, etc). Desired: The ideal candidate would have some experience in the professional services/management consulting industry, but not required.
