We’re looking for someone to help us build our training program for new team members. We’re a digital marketing agency that helps conscious eCommerce stores grow profitably and change the world. We know that our team members are at the core of the great work we do for clients and we want to make sure we’re nurturing and training them the best we can. We want to make a clear training program that can take in new recruits that have a great, positive personality and the right values, and in 2-4 weeks they can become industry-level marketers with our training program. We have a lot of the knowledge to make this happen in our own manuals and guides but we need your help translating this into a cohesive and sequential training program that takes the new team member from A to B. Someone with marketing experience is preferred (we currently do Google and Facebook Ads).

What does this role involve?

Initial research and planning:

  • Reviewing our current training and understanding how we currently onboard team members
  • Reviewing our service and processes.
  • Meeting with team members to learn their recommendations and suggestions
  • Reviewing past (recorded) meetings with team members during their onboarding to find their biggest questions during onboarding.
  • Create a planned program draft

Training Program Build

  • Planning/writing out the details of each course and module
  • Writing the outline of the script for the CEO to record any necessary videos
  • Creating appropriate tests/exams for testing progress of recruits along the way

Implementation

  • Uploading the content to our LMS (Trainual)
  • Testing on next recruit and monitoring progress for further improvements

Standards for the position:

  • Highly organized, disciplined, driven and energetic.
  • Honest. Is comfortable being honest with the team (including CEO) when finding better ways to structure things (training, information, systems, processes, etc).
  • Humble. Always being open to critical feedback, even when it is coming from a junior or another part of the business. Understanding that we are all learning, and the feedback we provide each other at Key PPC is never a personal attack, but because we all want to be better versions of ourselves.
  • Responsible. Taking responsibility for the projects. Our default at Key PPC is ‘extreme ownership’ where leaders default to taking ownership themselves, taking responsibility themselves for actions, before blaming others.
  • Learning and improvement. Being hungry for more knowledge, more skills, more experienced, and more strategies under your belt.
  • Team player. We support each other and give each other the benefit of the doubt. We stand by our team and expertise and we don’t shift the blame when things go wrong. Our team members are often calling on other team members to look over strategies, results, tasks, to help each other succeed and improve.
  • Pays close attention to directions and knows when to check-in or ask for assistance. Exercises excellent judgment in determining what can and cannot be efficiently accomplished prior to receiving approval/direction.
  • Discrete and trustworthy with the sensitive firm and client information.
