Overview

Main Work Responsibilities: Additional day-to-day tasks will be discussed during the second interview with the company’s Hiring Manager.

  • Ensure the accuracy and timely processing of Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Post and reconcile credit card transactions
  • Post and track customer deposits for various projects
  • Communicate regularly with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions, including producing monthly general ledger cost reports for review
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain good relationships and be proactive with conflict resolution
  • Prepare daily banking requirements, ie. Preparing bank reconciliations, preparing and making deposits, ordering drafts and/or certified checks, as needed.
  • Ensure the protection and security of files and records
  • Resolve receivables by ensuring all deposits have been accounted for
  • Ensures all monthly expense reports are administered
  • Responsible for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving (or properly referring) accounting or documentation problems, discrepancies, and/or miscalculations
  • Maintain great relations with vendors and colleagues/leadership inquiries by responding in a timely, clear, sensitive, and beneficial manner
  • Keep Management informed of activities and any significant problems
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required. (Weekly progress report)
  • Stay current with all regulations, practices, reporting requirements & industry trends
  • Model the financial impacts for a variety of business decisions and present options(technology/apps/contracting companies) to PresidentCEO
  • Helping drive process and cost efficiencies for business operations
  • Provide key business and financial guidance to President CEO (budgeting and forecasting)
  • Provide complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for a financial function of the business
  • Consult with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope
  • Forecasts financial results within a broad scope
  • Annual budget development and investment analysis
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design

Qualifications

- Educational Background a plus but not required in this role- Educational Degrees: Accounting, Finance, or Business Management - Bookkeeping experience required - 3 years of experience using Google Business Suite - 3 years of experience creating and maintaining invoices - 2 years of experience using social media - 3 years of experience handling and maintaining business budgets - 3 years of experience managing a team - Attention to detail - Strong organizational skills - Will put the Founder to work - Accountability - Hands-on and will figure things out on their own - Descriptive - Strong communication skills both written and verbal **What they do not need is:** - Someone who is only looking for short-term work commitments - Someone who isn’t reliable
