Overview

Specific Duties
– Instruct and drive the academic progress of students in 1:1 live web meetings, email, and phone
– Maintain a productive, high-performing, and motivating learning environment using effective classroom management strategies
– Communicate challenging concepts in an easy to understand the manner
– Provide outstanding service to clients
– Record student performance, track student’s progress and finalize student grades promptly
– Perform administrative tasks as necessary
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s Degree with a state-specific teaching certificate in the subject area(s) taught
– Previous experience as a teacher
– In-depth knowledge of the subject area, standards-based educational practices, and familiarity with state and national educational standards
– Proven computer and internet skills
– Online education experience as an instructor or student is a plus, but not required
– Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
– Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
– High energy with a sincere desire to improve young lives
– Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to situations as they may change
