Overview

We are seeking a content writer to curate and create all content for social media, blog, emails, workbooks, and courses.

You’ll be responsible for writing and repurposing all content social media strategy, blog, email and any other platforms needed. The content curation and creation should consider the marketing and sales objectives for the company. All content should be written with the “Know, Like and Trust Factor” and marketing strategy in mind and in the voice of our CEO Tracy Matthews.

You’ll edit and write content (and captions) for our blog, other external blogs, messenger, social media, Youtube, podcast emails, newsletter, and assorted email broadcasts. You’ll be responsible for keeping SEO fresh and up to date on the website and blog (working with outside consultants and work on it yourself). Rewriting any outdated courses, trainings and webinars as needed and creating workbooks and worksheets for courses and trainings while maintaining quality control on all content from copy to images to make sure they meet brand standards.

You’ll be required to deep dive and understand our audience’s buying patterns and behaviors and use that to make the best decisions for overall revenue and sales growth.

You’ll also be responsible for detailed tracking and curating metrics for improving email open and click-through rates as well as strategize with our social media coodinator and create content for social that increases non-paid traffic to the website including social media, YouTube, SEO, and any non-paid traffic source.

We are looking for someone to work 10 – 15 hour per week in a virtual position. These hours would need to be worked within normal working hours of 9am – 5pm EST. During launches and promotions, we may need up to 20 hours per week, but that will be determined on a case by case basis.

Your Duties:

  • Oversee content consistency and brand messaging
  • Curate and create content for the following platforms:
  • Blog (internal & external)
  • Instagram
  • IG stories
  • IGTV
  • Facebook
  • Facebook Groups
  • Youtube
  • Pinterest
  • ManyChat automation and threaded messages
  • Emails
  • Podcast Blog and Email
  • Newsletters
  • Training or Program Workbooks and Worksheets (as needed)
  • Oversee metrics and tracking to make sure we know exactly what’s working and what isn’t
  • Blog management and audit
  • Test our assumptions – think beyond the status quo and what our competitors are doing
  • Develop and manage content for instructional trainings/courses and create supporting materials such as a checklist, pdf’s, worksheets, etc.
  • Develop and maintain proper messaging and consistency
  • Writes in an engaging, active tone similar to our CEO, Tracy Matthews
  • Writes, schedules, and posts content online; maintains company web pages and blog(s)
  • Develop creative and effective content for press releases, websites, testimonials, case studies, and more as needed
  • Help develop & document procedures to manage content

About You

You love writing jaw-dropping content that gets people to engage and take action. You can easily write in someone else’s voice and actually enjoy the challenge. You can’t stop thinking about how to get better conversions from your efforts. You’re a quick writer, take feedback well and have a keen eye for proof-reading

You enjoy contributing to a team and coming up with new ideas and sharing them. You are a creative problem solver and think outside the box. You are experienced in taking a piece of content and breaking it up into lots of great nuggets. You can think big picture to a granular level understanding how all the pieces of your content with our marketing puzzle fit together.

You have a sense of humor and enjoy being a part of a fast-paced company where you may be required to pivot often. Since you’ll be working from home, you are a master of your time and workflow and taking ownership of your projects excites you.

You’ll be working with a mix of content, social media, email, blog, and miscellaneous writing. (And whatever else you see fit to throw into the mix!)

You also have:

  • A+ verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Google Docs and exceptional typing skills
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills (includes editing other’s content)
  • Excellent language and grammar skills.
  • Experience in writing for the web, content management, and internet research
  • Experience with social networks and understanding types of content needed
  • Interpersonal skills – you will be working with a team and communicate with them on a regular basis and we need someone that enjoys working with others.
  • Ambitious – we want someone that is excited to grow with us!
  • Tech savvy – we use numerous online programs and we need someone that can learn fast and isn’t afraid of using numerous programs.
  • A professional attitude and superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-starter – someone who thrives on completing projects independently and on-time.
  • Fast learner – someone who can pick up new systems and learn them quickly.
