Overview

We are looking for a goal-oriented, self-driven advertising sales representative to sell advertising space in a bimonthly art magazine and website. Please note: This is a commission-based position. There is no base salary, but bonuses will given based on sales performance.

You must be able to dedicate at least 15 hours each week and be comfortable with placing phone calls.

The responsibilities of this position include contacting potential clients, making sales presentations, and maintaining client accounts. Additionally, responsibilities include:

1. Locate and contact potential clients to offer advertising services
2. Explain to clients how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible
3. Provide clients with estimates of the costs of advertising products or services
4. Process all correspondence and paperwork related to accounts
5. Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing clients
6. Inform clients of available options for advertising art, formats, or features and provide samples of previous work for other clients
7. Deliver advertising or illustration proofs to clients for approval
8. Prepare sales contracts
9. Recommend appropriate sizes and formats for advertising
10. Keep up to date on art industry trends, and monitor prices of competitors.
