Writing – Shasta Townsend

Hi.

I am writing to apply for the writing/editing position because I feel I have the skills and experience you are looking for. I have a background in marketing which entails creating,writing and editing marketing and advertising materials. I have worked on the design and writing of brochures, newsletters, print ads, and press releases. In addition, I have experience writing copy for a website.

I have worked as a new products business development consultant to many Fortune 500 companies in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry with clients such as: Clorox, Johnson and Johnson, Celestial Seasonings, Pepsi, Tropicana and many more. In this role, I was responsible for the sales as well as the marketing of the projects. I worked closely with their marketing departments heading up brainstorming meetings to begin to develop actionable new product, packaging, technology ideas. I was responsible for writing and designing copy which resulted in fully developed and executed concept statements and concept boards in order to leverage brand equities.

I am a very outgoing, hard-working individual with excellent verbal and written skills. As a result of my experience and skills, I feel I have what it takes to be successful in this position and would like to talk with you furthe.
