Dear Ms. Steube,
Please accept my application for the position of Administrative/Virtual Assistant. I found your job posting on HireMyMom.com, and I’m pleased to say that my skills match your requirements. I have had more than eight years of experience in administrative roles. I am well-versed in all the miscellaneous duties this job entails. I am extremely well organized and have a proven track record working with people from all walks of life.
I have recently been working as an administrative assistant for George Washington’s Mt. Vernon. I helped with the 17th Annual Spirit of Mt. Vernon event held on October 9, 2018. I worked with database entry; Microsoft Excel; invoicing; writing and editing for program and auction materials; and many other administrative jobs. The event had over 600 corporate attendees as well as Members of Congress and other important guests. It grossed over $550,000 for Mt. Vernon educational programs.
Prior to this role, I was as preschool teacher and a professional volunteer at my children’s schools. I taught three and four-year-old children for almost eight years. I loved teaching and working with the elementary kids to help them have positive education experiences!
In my previous roles as an executive assistant, I handled all of the duties required for this position, and more, with great capability. I was frequently praised for my ability to handle complex tasks and solve problems without requesting input, but also maintain an awareness of when input may be desired. In short, as an executive assistant, I am efficient, attentive, and competent. Finally, I have all the skills necessary for the role.
I am eagerly anticipating having a follow up conversation with you about how I can help make the lives of your company executives easier. I want to be highly effective for you.
Please feel free to contact me at any time.
Sincerely,
Lura B. McAdam

Dear Ekaterina Steube,

I am excited to apply for the role of Executive Assistant at Worldwide101. Previously, I worked as the Associate Broker Support Analyst for Coventry Healthcare of Georgia where I gained strong communication and time management skills. I’m confident that I can take my skills and experience from that opportunity and make a positive impact on your team as well.

Given my related administrative experience and excellent capabilities, I feel my skills are an ideal match for this position. At Coventry, organization was key to ensure all agents and agencies received their disbursements in a timely manner. As a result, all disbursements were delivered and all verification documents were completed by the monthly deadline every month. Your team will benefit from my ability to multitask, analyze documents for accuracy, follow up with internal and external clients and be a quick learner.

In addition to my work experience, I also served as the PTA President at Britt Elementary School where my son was enrolled at the time. There, I had the chance to work as a team with the board members to organize all PTA school events from beginning to end – including three new school events. In this role, I also worked with the Principal to ensure all activities and events were completely planned and ran smoothly.

My experience and personal skills make me a strong candidate for this position. For your review and consideration, I have enclosed my resume with details of my background and accomplishments. I will follow up with you in a few days to answer any questions you may have. In the meantime, you may reach me at 678-362-6676 or via email at mkaneghay@gmail.com. I look forward to our conversation.

Best Regards,
M’Kaneghay Hudson

I was excited this week to see the opening that was listed for an executive assistant on www.hiremymom.com. I strongly believe that the skills and abilities I have gained during my career as an educator will make me a competitive candidate for this.
Although I have been working primarily as a classroom teacher, in this capacity I have interfaced frequently with parents, administration, and colleagues. This has instilled positive communication skills and the ability to recognize, act upon, and fulfill needs to ensure continued and positive relationships.
Key proficiencies that I possess which I believe relate directly to the type of candidate that you are looking for to fulfill this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Strong communication skills
• Problem solving ability
• Planning and organization skills
• Strong time management skills
• Flexibility
• Eagerness to learn
You will find me to be a team player who is proactive, flexible, goal oriented, and able to work independently. Dear Ms. Steube,

My name is Kristen Stipe and I was very excited to read the job description for a project management specialist that was posted on HireMyMom.com. I am such a great fit for this job! Here are a few reasons that demonstrate how I would be an asset to Worldwide 101:

1. I’m an experienced professional with a range of work history that includes project management, vendor relationships, customer relations, and team building. I’m capable of doing any type of administrative work necessary, but I’m most excited about the opportunity to organize projects, create strategic plans for completion, and do the various types of tasks necessary to ensure successful execution of the required deliverables. I welcome the opportunity to be part of a growing, forward-thinking company like Worldwide 101.

2. I understand the importance of effective leadership and setting high expectations for success while remaining open, flexible, and supportive. I love collaborating as part of a team while at the same time I’m very self-directed, enjoy working independently, and pride myself on meeting deadlines. I live in California so am in PST, but I am up every morning at 5:30am my time for some quiet, focused work before I need to get kids to school. I worked with international vendors and subcontractors for years and understand the requirements for coordinating clear communication pathways.

3. I’m well-versed in working with .pdfs, jpegs, Dropbox, and hyperlinks. I’m experienced with managing budgets and data analysis, and I am capable, willing, and look forward to learning new platforms and skills.

As you’ll see on the attached resume, I worked at Apple for 7 years (2 years remotely) on their Retail Development team, playing an integral role in establishing vendor relationships and sourcing strategies, being the main communication/marketing contact for internal departments and outside inquiries, and developing the personnel structure for our department as it grew. The opportunity to be a part of the department from the beginning (prior to opening any retail stores) allowed me to do everything from hiring and managing project coordinators to creating presentations for the executive team. These varied experiences led me to building a reputation for finding solutions, effectively communicating expectations, and motivating others to believe in their abilities to achieve those expectations.

Since leaving Apple, I’ve written articles for The Language Educator and have been very involved in my kids’ school as a board member for the PTA planning and executing projects and events. My combination of relationship and listening skills, ability to communicate effectively, attention to detail, and willingness to learn would be a great fit for your project management and administrative needs.

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards,
Kristen Stipe
