Good Afternoon,

I am writing this letter to express my interest in the part-time remote Executive Assistant position open within your company. For the past nine years, I have worked as a paralegal in the United States Air Force. The last five years were spent as a Law Office Manager where I oversaw the legal operations of 26 personnel. Currently, I sit as a Numbered Air Force Paralegal Manager. In this capacity, I oversee the legal operations of three Air Force Base legal offices in the western part of the United States. As these duties are part-time (Air Force Reserve) in nature, I am looking for another part-time position working from home.

As a paralegal and military member, I feel my attention to detail is my strongest asset. Working for lawyers has required immense administrative skills which include scheduling meetings, researching clients, managing the travel plans and calendar for high-level military executives, editing and drafting e-mail and other correspondence, and prioritizing issues (just to name a few).

It’s pertinent that I pay attention to the small stuff and I am not afraid to point out mistakes, even my own. Additionally, I am a self-starter who seeks to prevent issues by being proactive and focusing my effort on building solid relationships and communicating effectively.

As a former school counselor I have excellent listening skills, strive to help others, and find innovative ways to solve problems collaboratively. Finally, I am reliable and always professional in my interactions whether through e-mail, phone, or in person.
