Dear Ms. Herfurth,

I visited your website and was immediately drawn in with the bright, vibrant colors and photos. Reading through the pages, I had to laugh. You radiate FUN! So often, businesses feel that in order to be professional, they have to be stuffy and traditional. It’s so refreshing to see someone who embraces the fact that work can (and should be) enjoyable! I’m a firm believer that as long as the work gets done correctly and on time, there is no reason why you can’t have a good time.

I would love the opportunity to speak with you about your virtual assistant position. My work experience is in administrative assisting, including customer service and human resources. I am also taking online courses on e-commerce and online businesses. I am a fast learner and always eager to learn new skills. I enjoy writing, proofreading, and doing Internet research. (Yes, I know I sound like a total nerd.) I have personal experience blogging and using Canva to create social media posts.

I would love to support you in your growing business and I think we would work great together. We share a lot of common values: hard work, passion, honesty, helping people, having a sense of humor… I think if you can’t laugh at yourself and you don’t love what you do, you’re doing it wrong. And I’m pretty sure you put my life philosophy into words on your About page: “When you can make something fun, you can make anything great.” That is absolute perfection.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I hope to get the opportunity to chat with you about this position.

Thank you,

Jamie Jacopelle

To whom it may concern,
I am extremely interested in your available virtual assistant position. While I have not had a virtual assistant position before, I think my background makes me a solid candidate. I have experience working as an assistant/office manager in a high paced Law Office. I have also had to run an office where everything fell into my lap. I have extremely organized, and detail orientated.
My reasoning’s for leaving a corporate position to a virtual assistant, are due to the birth of my son. I am looking to be able to spend more time at home with him, so a part time, virtual position is the perfect fit.
I am hopeful to be considered for this position, and at the very least, at least have a more in depth conversation to make sure it will be a fit.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

As a special needs director, I have scheduled and facilitated hundreds of face to face confidential and difficult meetings with professionalism and precision. As an instructional coordinator, I have mastered Google Docs and can streamline digital files with ease. I embrace change and look for ways to enhance operations for the better. I hold a Masters of Education in Special Education earned through the University of Saint Thomas and a Bachelors of Art degree in Communications from Louisiana State University. Virtual assistant

Hello,

My name is Maggie and I am originally from Chicago. I have been living in San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur for the last ten years and I am bilingual (English-Spanish). My college background, from Santa Clara University, is in finance and my graduate degree is in education.

Post college I worked in Corporate America for several years, both in the United States and in Mexico City. After several years I decided to change careers and moved into education. With my international experience, my business organizational skills and my passion for teaching, this was a great move.

In 2006 I had my first son and decided to be a stay at home mom. Moving to Mexico in 2007 and having two more children, I continued to stay at home to raise the three of them. During this time I worked part time in events here in Cabo and was able to use my business skills, pitching venues and working budgets, my organizational skills, building timelines and constantly keeping up with the client and vendor changes, and most importantly was able to use my personal skills to reach the needs of my American clients as well as my Mexican clients. Being bilingual and understanding both cultures really helped me to build secure relationships with my clients.

I left the event business back in June of 2016 and know that a stay at home job will be the best fit for myself and my children. I am a single mom and am really trying to get back in to the working world and also continue to meet my children’s needs.

Thank you and I hope we have the opportunity to work together!

Best Regards,

Dear Michael,

Hello! I saw your position on hiremymoms.com for the Virtual Assistant position and I would like to be considered for the position.
For the past 8.5 years I have been a nanny in a private home and sadly the family has outgrown me. Before then I was an administrative assistant for a local media company where I handled phone calls, scheduling, booking flights and accommodations. As a nanny, I am responsible for keeping the kids schedules organized and making sure they make any appointments. Along side being a nanny, I have helped my husband with his photography business for the past 5 years. I am his second shooter at weddings where I handle the more candid and detail shots, as well as organizing family pictures. I help him post on social media and keep his schedule organized (He considers me his walking calendar and organizer).

I look forward to talking to you more about the opportunity to work along side you!

I would like to apply to work with you in the Administrative Assistant position you posted.

I love the field of health/wellness and parenting as I am knee deep in kids as well. I have 3 children ages 8, 7 & 4. Having children has led me on my path to self discovery, and I am so thankful for that experience and the ones to follow. I have been on a personal growth journey for the past year and am so excited to be able to find so many different adventures in my awakening. I want to be fulfilled and make a difference. I can’t go another day without pushing myself toward the best life I can live.

I have worked in the technology field for 15+ years. I have experience with WordPress, office products, social media, email lists, php, html, hardware and software in general. I love technology and love learning!

I was just (literally last week) thinking of what struggles have I been through that I’ve come out of and I can offer the world. What would have helped me? This idea popped in my head, having my first child was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I love the self-development, so at your own pace classes that I am taking now. I wish there was something like that for after you have a baby. I searched the internet after that, but never found anything. Then I just saw this job posting. Even we don’t work together, I’m glad that you are doing this and this resource is out there.

Thank you for the opportunity to apply.

Dear Hiring Manager,

I read with interest your posting for the Customer Support Representative position on the Hire My Mom job board. I believe I
possess the necessary skills and experience you are seeking and would make a valuable addition to your
company.

As my resume indicates, I possess more than 30 years of progressive experience in the customer
service field. My professional history includes positions such as database analyst at Experian as well as
administrative assistant at Fitness Consulting Group and currently Bold Productions.

My previous experience working as database analyst for Experian, gave me a lot of problem
solving experience. I have an excellent track record of completing projects on time. My expertise in problem
solving and communication make me a great addition to your team. I assisted in the successful completion of
many database builds. My supervisor also relied on my ability to provide quality assurance and my excellent
communications skills. We had proprietary software so I had to learn everything on my own. I started out on
the ground level and ended my career there at the highest level.

I had to take some time off working full time when I had my son. He is on the Autism Spectrum and for
awhile required me to be home with him. Now that he is thriving, I would love to go back to doing something I
love which is working in customer service. My customers always loved me and I loved helping them.

Previously I was the Director of Special Events at a downtown Chicago restaurant that generated over $1.3 million in sales and prior to the I was the Event Coordinator, which was more of an assistant role. I have been a virtual assistant for over 5 years. I have worked both in an office in various roles as well as virtually during that time. I have worked with entrepreneurs, writers, real estate agents, physicians, psychiatrists, and various other clients. I’m extremely detail oriented. I spend about 5 hours a week on continuing education to keep myself abreast of new trends, technologies, and skills that would be needed or requested. I have a process for working with clients so that nothing falls through the cracks. I’m comfortable working with clients who may be disorganized, scatter brained, and ADHD.

I believe that a word is all a person has ultimately in this world. If I say I’m going to do something, I’m going to do it. I will figure out how to get it done correctly and on time.

I like working with a variety of clients and tasks. I don’t feel that anything is beneath me.

A few examples of my clients:

I’ve worked with a Florida real estate agent who is building his business across multiple counties. I’ve done personal jobs such as looking for restaurant reservations for Valentines day, CRM management, pending worksheet creation, customer/lead management, email management, etc.

I’ve worked with an entrepreneur to launch a genealogy business. I’ve been with him from concept, to beta testing, to launch. I’ve done every task from ordering his Jenny Craig and ordering some socks on Amazon to team management, customer service, and genealogy research and validation. I make myself available as much as possible to him even outside of business hours.

I’ve worked with a psychiatrist building his private practice. I’ve taken intakes, completed prior authorizations, managed his calendar and appointments, charged his patients, and sent their receipts.

My specialties are:
Social Media Marketing
Content Management
E-Mail Marketing Campaigns
Blog Management
Marketing Assistance
Calendar Management
Travel Planning
Event Planning
Research

I love hearing a client start to relax as I help free up more of their time and manage things so they can focus on what matters to them as well as their family. That is why I do this. I love being able to help people focus on what they love with their work and their family.

I would love to setup a time for us to talk more. Please let me know your availability.

Jennifer,
I am very interested in the position you have posted. I feel I would be a great fit for what you need. I am a widely experienced mom, who is looking to start a new path in my professional life. I love learning new things and taking on challenges. I have worked as a contract editor/admin. assistant for an insurance company and my experience varies to my time working for the FBI and most recently as a manager at a Target store. Communication and organization are an integral part of my successes both professionally and personally. I’m responding to your post on hiremymom.com for the virtual assistant position. I have years working as a personal/executive assistant and most recently over the past couple of years as a virtual one after I had my son. He’s in pre-school full time now- which allows me to work from home and have a predictable schedule.

I have a degree in journalism from NYU and years of experience working for very busy people running their own businesses and helped them to stay organized. I handled everything from managing social media, scheduling emails, maintaining calendars, creating financial reports, etc. I also have experience with Word Press and Infusionsoft.

I’ve also spent a great deal of time writing and editing blogs, emails and press releases. I’m very easy to work and my communication and customer service skills are top notch. I’m confident I meet the qualifications you are seeking in an assistant.

I’d be happy to speak with you and pass along glowing references. Thank you in advance for your consideration!

Hi Ryan, AKA sparta,

I am applying for your admin/VA job. Per my attached resume, between being a mom of two too-old-to-be-home kids, and a Realtor, I would consider myself a master at all duties you have listed, no questions asked! As well, I wouldn’t have survived 11 years in corporate America without all of those skills.
1. So I’ve been told, the top 3 attributes I bring to an organization are:
~ A positive, can-do attitude
~Reliability… I get it done
~Organized and efficient

2. Absolutely getting it done right and mostly fast. Because if it’s not right, it’s not right.

3. A trip back to CO with my family and skiing down the mountain (we used to live there). Since we moved to Chicago, it was exhilarating to be flying down the mountain again in that gorgeous CO air!

Thank you for taking my application into consideration. I am looking not only for something more steady than real estate, but something to fill my time now that our kids are older and never home.

Before we had children, I worked from home in Chicago for 6 years with my entire team in Denver, and know what it takes to stay focused and get the job done.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Shannon Bowman
