I am extremely interested in your assistant position, and I believe my background will uniquely meet your needs. Much of my work history has been in the newspaper industry, which makes me highly qualified for the writing and editing aspect of this job. I have experience with researching, writing and editing articles efficiently and meeting strict deadlines. For two years, I worked as an advertising manager for a newspaper where much of my job was coordinating when ad schedules, tracking payments and commission for sales reps and creating advertising content. I also worked as an assistant at a real estate firm, where I helped manage client databases and distributed newsletters, postcards and other mailers. I believe if given the opportunity I would excel in this job.
