Dear Ms. Woodard,

I am writing to request consideration for the Virtual Assistant position posted on I currently work from home as a Virtual Assistant for a magician and am seeking additional employment. I have a background in writing and editing and am confident that I possess the skills and positive attitude you are seeking for the Virtual Assistant position.

My combination of writing, editing, and proofing experiences make me uniquely qualified for the Virtual Assistant position. My interest in writing and editing began when I served as a journalist for several small town newspapers. Years later, the knowledge of AP style that I gained while news writing continued to come in handy as I edited and proofed the first grade curriculum for Anne Arundel County Public Schools in Maryland. Today I continue to write and edit content for marketing materials for corporate magician Alexander Great. As see from the diversity of my experience, I am flexible and will gladly work with you on a wide range of projects.

Of course, working on a wide variety of projects implies that I will also need to be willing to acquire new skills and be a great problem solver. As Alexander Great’s Virtual Assistant, I have taught myself to use a whole host of computer applications, including WordPress, MailChimp, Constant Contact, LinkedIn and Facebook. I also use Asana to keep track of my duties. Mr. Great performs overseas most of the year, so he relies on me to complete projects in a timely manner. He also knows he can trust me to solve problems on my own, but to seek his input when appropriate.

I would be happy to further discuss my qualifications for the Virtual Assistant position with you personally at your convenience. Please contact me to arrange an interview or to ask any questions. Thank you for your time and consideration.
