Dear Hiring Manager,
Earlier this year, I left my full-time position as an online content manager to pursue a more flexible, work from home role, that would better suit my personal and professional needs. While I’ve managed a variety of freelance roles over the past few months, I’m looking for something a little more challenging and ongoing.

In my previous long-term role as a content manager, I gained many years of hands-on MS Office experience, and I’m trained and certified in the entire suite. I truly have a passion for research and working with data and would personally enjoy doing the type of work outlined in the job description.

Although, my prior full-time position focused on content in terms of data, I had the opportunity to work with customer feedback and survey results, as well as analyzing usage reports to determine what our customers were most interested in. More recently, as a freelancer, I provided data analysis for an up-and-coming small business that appeared on the TV show Shark Tank. After manipulating their data using a combination of Excel and Access, I successfully used the output I gathered to create customer avatars for the company. I take pride in being an efficient self-starter, who is comfortable working remotely, and has the tools and flexibility necessary to do so.

As you’ll see in my resume, I have a diverse educational background and thrive on variety and challenge in my work life. I’m proactive and like to get things done, but more importantly, I like to learn new things and be a productive contributor, and it sounds like this role might be a great fit for my unique skill set.
