To Whom It May Concern:
I respectfully request your consideration of my application for a position within your company.
I graduated from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business with a focus in International Business and Marketing. I then continued my education at Loyola University, Chicago, graduating in 2013 with a Master’s of Education degree in Elementary Education. I currently hold a Texas Educator’s License for Early Childhood Education through 6th grade in multiple subject areas. For the past five years, I have been teaching in an elementary and preschool setting. My most recent experience has been teaching 5th grade Gifted and Talented students from a low-income neighborhood. My students, who were mostly English Language Learners, have a gift for creativity and innovation.
I have also been privileged to work with my fellow colleagues and adult learners over the past few years as a Professional Development Teacher. Each six weeks, I taught a Six Weeks at a Glance course for the ELAR curriculum I write for the 3rd and 5th grade Gifted and Talented Program in my previous school district. This past summer I was also invited to write and teach a Genius Hour course for the Gifted and Talented update session. My passion for teaching started when I was very young and peaked while I was working for a company writing ELAR and Math curriculum using the California State Standards and later the Common Core Standards. My job was to use Mimio Interactive Whiteboard technology to create engaging lessons and tests for Kindergarten – 8th grade students.
The experience I have had as a teacher has led me to seek job opportunities working with others in any way I can. My dedication, organization, passion and drive have prepared me to work with any employer to assist in their daily operations. I would love the opportunity to be considered for a position within your company.
Thank you for your consideration.
